BioMMS Goals – Research Infrastructure BioMMS

The main goals of BioMMS are:

To concentrate the expert knowledge and technological capacities in the fields of biophysics and biomedical engineering. This will lead to scientific excellence related to the characterization of biomolecules, biomembranes and biosignals;
To provide wide access to unique scientific equipment to a broad range of users from research and business organizations;
To increase the competitiveness of the Bulgarian research teams at European and global scale;
To foster the relation between science and business and the development of new products and services for knowledge-based economy that will ensure long-term sustainability of the BioMMS project functioning;
To achieve considerable leverage social effect with respect to the improvements of the work conditions and remuneration of the scientific staff, its recruitment and retention in Bulgaria (especially young scientists), and improving the country’s image in the European and world scientific community.
